INSTA

In 'Body 1,' I focused on the point where the genderless human form, which has no genitalia, moves in infinite repetition. To express this, I sought ways to immerse myself in the form, and this sculpture needed a classic marble or plaster finish.

The surface of 'Body1' was created by layering wood finishing materials multiple times. While using urethane can create the desired matte white through coloration, but touching the painted work often gives a sensation of reflected body heat. In contrast, wood finishing materials, with their fine and thin layers, allow the sculpture's temperature to be conveyed to the touch, connecting with a delicate and precarious feeling through its thin and soft surface.

Currently, preparing for my next project of this series
